Virtual Accounting Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced staff accountant/bookkeeper to join our virtual accounting department and assist in managing our clients’ day-to-day accounting responsibilities. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Organize and standardize client ledgers, post and reconcile historical data
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Match purchase orders with invoices in software
  • Pay vendor invoices and monitor expenses with the use of bill pay software
  • Reconcile monthly bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Close monthly transactions with accrual journal entries
  • Reconcile and depreciate fixed assets on a monthly basis
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including statements of cash flows, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Process and reconcile payroll with software and associated taxes with bank accounts
  • Generate 1099s and W-2s
  • Prepare specialized reports and analysis to support the CFO
  • Communicate with client clerks on accounting matters

We are seeking candidates the following qualifications:

  • Some accounting or bookkeeping class completion, an Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required
  • 1-5 years’ experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles 
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks

Senior Tax Associate

We are currently seeking a tax accountant to:

  • Prepare complex tax returns for corporations, businesses, trusts and high-net worth individuals
  • Recognize potential tax issues and tax planning strategies. Research, propose and discuss strategies and solutions with tax managers and engagement partners
  • Train and mentor tax accountants
  • Cultivate a professional niche that suits your strength and interests
  • Develop relationships with peers and clients

We are seeking to hire a Tax Senior with the following qualifications:

  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of tax experience within a public accounting firm required
  • Strong motivation to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and train others

Staff Accountant

Entry-level Staff Accountants have the ability to work in both tax and audit. Responsibilities include a variety of accounting functions such as auditing, preparation of individual and business tax returns, financial statement preparation and general accounting functions for a variety of clients in multiple industries such as forest products, manufacturing, insurance, or medical. We offer flexible scheduling, CPA exam fee reimbursement, ample opportunities for advancement, less than one percent travel required, a variety of work experiences and a great working environment.
