What is your current job title?
What college did you go to?
I attended Oregon State University.
How long have you worked at Kernutt Stokes?
I’ve been with the firm for 3 years.
Why did you choose Kernutt Stokes over other firms you may have had in mind?
I knew that I wanted to work at a small or mid-sized accounting firm. Kernutt Stokes stood out from the others because they really stressed work-life balance, which was important to me. I was very happy to find out that it wasn’t just a recruiting ploy, and I truly believe that we have differentiated ourselves from other firms in that respect. I also felt like I really clicked with every person I talked to in my interviews, and I didn’t feel as stressed during my Kernutt Stokes interview as I had in others.
What inspired you to become an accountant?
My first accounting teacher loved the subject and got me excited about it. When I learned more about a career in accounting, I liked the idea that there are so many opportunities for growth and personal development.
Do you have any pets?
I have a Yellow Lab named Dutch and a Border Collie named Indie.
What is your favorite food?
Sushi! I could eat it every day.

I enjoy how much there is to do in Eugene. I love exploring new places to eat and drink local craft beer.
Tell me one thing about you that makes you unique – a fun fact about yourself.
I studied abroad in Norway for almost five months, and I got hired at Kernutt Stokes after my 1 AM interview over Skype. I also traveled to six other countries and attended Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, while I was abroad.
