Eugene, OR - Kernutt Stokes LLP is proud to announce the appointments of two partners and two managers to State and National leadership positions.
Warren Barnes, CPA and managing partner of the firm, recently traveled to Istanbul Turkey to represent the North American division of Accountants Global Network International (AGN) at AGN’s World Congress. Barnes is serving as the Board Chair of AGN North America.
AGN International represents accounting firms in 89 countries. It is one of the leading and largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world. AGN’s world headquarters are in London, and the North American headquarters are in Denver, CO.
Scott Wright, CPA and partner, was recently appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber and confirmed by the Senate to serve on the State of Oregon Board of Accountancy. Wright is one of four accountants to receive an appointment in the state.
Bryce Wilberger, CPA and manager at Kernutt Stokes LLP, was nominated to serve on the Qualifications Committee of the Oregon Board of Accountancy.
The role of the Board of Accountancy is to assure that approximately 8,500 CPAs, PAs, municipal auditors and public accounting firms registered to practice in Oregon demonstrate and maintain professional competency to serve the needs of their clients and other users of their services. The Board is authorized by ORS Chapter 673 to establish and enforce standards and regulations and license qualified applicants to practice public accountancy in Oregon.
